About The Position

The Graphics Design and Visual Media Supervisor at the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission (M-NCPPC) is responsible for leading a team in the production of diverse graphic design and multimedia projects. This role involves overseeing the creative direction, project management, and administrative duties related to graphic design, ensuring high-quality outputs that align with the organization's mission of fostering community and environmental stewardship.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, Graphics, Studio or Commercial Art, or a related field.
• Four years of progressively responsible graphics design experience, including one year of experience leading and directing graphics design staff.
• Valid driver's license in accordance with State and Commission rules and regulations.
• Pass Commission medical examination.

• Proficiency in graphic design software and tools, including computer hardware and peripherals.
• Strong knowledge of design principles, color theory, photography, and videography.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, supervise, and direct the production of graphic design and visual media work.

• Develop goals, objectives, and policies for graphics and visual media programs.
• Manage project budgets, vendor contracts, and printing costs.
• Coordinate complex graphic design tasks, including multimedia presentations and promotional materials.
• Manage the unit's budget and conduct staff performance evaluations.
