We are currently seeking a Marketing & Proposals Coordinator for our Marketing Department located in Chicago, IL. The Marketing & Proposals Coordinator is responsible for assisting with the coordination of pursuits that comes through the Region including but not limited to preparing statement of qualifications, proposals and client presentations including technical writing, layout design, formatting, coordination, proofreading, production and final delivery. The Coordinator may also be involved in light business development, marketing and/or communications activities. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Journalism, English or related degree or relevant experience.
  • 2 - 4 years of experience in Communications, Marketing and/or Proposal development.
  • Expert proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (lnDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills (written and oral).
  • Some experience in writing technical proposals, as well as general proposal writing skills.
  • Expert at visualization, layout, and/or graphic design skills to facilitate appealing and effective communication.
  • Strong writing and editing skills (including grammar and punctuation).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and excellent proofreading abilities.
  • Ability to multi-task, be proactive, work independently or in a team setting and establish priorities.
  • Efficiently work under pressure in a dynamic deadline-driven environment.
  • Travel as needed for RFP/RFQ/Presentation responses.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates pursuits from the RFQ phase through RFP, interview and award.
  • Coordinates with proposals, team members and partner firms to prepare qualifications including formatting, layout, technical writing and proofreading.
  • Writes and curates various marketing content including project sheets, case studies, resumes, white papers and editorial pieces.
  • Reviews the project and employee data within the CED.
  • Manages process for electronic proposal files, including using databases, SharePoint files and file closeout procedures.
  • Facilitates client presentation preparation include slide deck development.
  • Works with business development and operations management to determine what should be included in the slide decks.
  • Position may perform some basic business development work, such as tracking down various customer leads and organizing client meetings.
  • Reads and analyze RFQ/RFP's and edits proposal content for readability, consistency, clarity and compliance with requirements.
  • Interfaces with technical professionals and Project management in the writing, editing, and publication of various types of documents.
  • Ensures proposal input is accurate and timely.
  • Designs and updates marketing collateral and ensures commitment to branding and marketing strategies.
  • May perform some graphic design work.
