About The Position

The Kripalu marketing team is seeking a creative and organized contract graphic designer for a 3-month role. This position involves developing and executing print and digital creative assets while collaborating with the Creative Director and marketing team members. The designer will work within a deadline-driven environment, adhering to the established brand and style guidelines to create visually appealing deliverables for target audiences.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years working in graphic design.
  • Related BA or BFA degree.
  • Strong, diverse portfolio showcasing projects across print and digital media.
  • Extensive experience within Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign and Photoshop.
  • Experience working within Brand & Style Guidelines and adhering to templated design.
  • Highly visual with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of photo-editing.
  • Understanding of print production processes and file formats (e.g., CMYK, DPI).
  • Proficiency in typography/font selection, type hierarchy, and readability across different media.
  • Experience designing for digital platforms such as websites, mobile apps, social media, and banner ads.

Responsibilities

  • Work alongside Creative Director to concept and execute visual design assets across various channels.
  • Take projects through the full lifecycle: briefing, concept, design, refinement, and production.
  • Work closely with project manager to stay on top of deadlines and finish work in a timely manner.
  • Create designs that adhere to the Kripalu Brand & Style Guidelines to ensure consistency and accuracy of visual output.
  • Work directly with Creative Director and Guest Services for on-site collateral and signage, ensuring collateral is stocked and signage is updated.
  • Assist staff designer in creating materials for social media, web, email, catalog, direct mail, and advertising.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends in design, advertising, and social media.
  • Utilize photography editing/retouching skills in Photoshop when needed.
  • Work collaboratively with team members.
  • Check for typos/mistakes before delivery.
