We launch an impressive number of innovative products twice a year, so there’s always something new and interesting to work on (seriously, you’ll never be bored here). While we have established brand guidelines and design templates, we like when a designer can find those areas to put their own creative spin on the work. A non-negotiable is solid pre-press skills. You build clean files – period. You also understand the importance of good backups and organized files. We work hard individually and as a team. Somedays it's a lot of detail work. Sometimes it’s brainstorming as part of a larger team. Other times it’s printing and installing a pull up banner or making a mockup. Sometimes you might find yourself working on a dog fashion show or an April Fool’s prank product (this year we got included in Ad Age’s round up of the best April Fool’s products). This position is expected to be open until February 13, 2026.

Requirements

  • BA / BS in graphic design or related field.
  • At least three years of graphic design experience with focus on Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) packaging design.
  • Strong portfolio is a must. Applications without a portfolio will NOT be considered.
  • Intermediate skills in Adobe Photoshop, Bridge, InDesign, and Illustrator.
  • Solid understanding and application of principles of design, typography, composition, hierarchy, photography, and color theory.
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
  • Solid Pre-press skills: dielines, spot/cmyk color, bleed, live areas, layers, varnish plates, etc.
  • Working knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite, Smartsheet, Dropbox, Workfront Proof, and Brandfolder.
  • Must have strong habits surrounding digital asset management.
  • Must be detail-oriented, deadline-driven, high energy, and innovative.
  • Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills. This role will work on multiple projects at the same time, each with a different deadline. Understanding prioritization is a must.
  • Must be able to maintain the balance between WFH communication via Teams and email, and in-person meetings and duties at our Boulder office. At least 3 days per week in-office, subject to change.
  • Must be able to communicate in English.

  • Packaging experience - creating on-brand design solutions (mindful of both graphic and structural elements)

Responsibilities

  • Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign – in that order
  • Digital content creation for e-commerce, social ads and emails
  • Storytelling in your work - whether an ad, a piece of sales collateral, a tradeshow booth or packaging, you get how to tell stories that resonate quickly
  • Ownership of project elements such as status updates, timelines, revisions, and artwork approvals, and will regularly coordinate with the Creative Project Manager on your projects.
  • Preparing and uploading final press-ready files.
  • Keeping production and process documentation up-to-date.
