About The Position

The Louisiana Bucket Brigade (LABB) is a 501(c)(3) environmental health and justice organization working with communities that neighbor the state’s oil refineries and chemical plants. We use grassroots action to create an informed, healthy society that holds the petrochemical industry and government accountable for the true costs of pollution to hasten the transition from fossil fuels. Our vision is a Louisiana that is a healthy, prosperous, pollution-free, and just state where people and the environment are valued over profit.

The graphic design contractor would work with various departments of Louisiana Bucket Brigade, mainly but not limited to communications, development and programs, to create visually inspiring materials consistent with our brand guidelines across all reports, communications, marketing and solicitations intended for external and/or public audiences.

Requirements

• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Must be able to express a commitment to racial justice and diversity, equity and inclusion across all groups and social segments.
• Aligned with LABB’s mission and core values.

Nice To Haves

• Skilled in design software including Adobe Creative Suite.
• Experience with multimedia design for print, web, and social media.
• Graphic design skills including proficiency in typography, color theory, and design principles to create impactful visuals that align with the brand.
• Ability to clearly articulate ideas and collaborate with team members.
• Understanding of Louisiana Bucket Brigade’s mission and ability to translate to impactful and compelling visual design.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and communicate in a timely fashion.
• Experience with multimedia design for print, web, and social media.

Responsibilities

• Report Designs: Design professional, digestible, and engaging 4–10-page reports for print and digital viewing, including LABB’s annual impact report and program replated reports (2-4 per year).
• Fundraising Materials: Create designs for print mail appeal materials for development, including letters, tri-folds, cards, envelopes, inserts, etc. intended for seasonal solicitations and stewardship (2-3 per year).
• Event and Other Materials: Create designs for posters, flyers, letterhead, and brochures for press conferences and other events (3-5 per year).
• Merchandise: Design for merchandise like t-shirts, tote bags, and stickers.
• Social Media & Communications: Design templates and graphics for social media, email and other communications as needed.
• Organizational Branding: Maintain and update organizational branding including updating logo updates.
