About The Position

Create innovative and engaging marketing materials designed to increase market share and sales while strengthening the value of the D.A. Davidson Companies brand. This is a mid-level design position that reports to senior employees.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or significant coursework in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Digital Design or related disciplines highly preferred.
  • Two plus years of related work experience highly preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient with designing on a PC.
  • Must be fully capable of working in Adobe Creative Suite and delivering products within: o Photoshop o Illustrator o InDesign o PowerPoint o HTML
  • Online portfolio that demonstrates success in creating engaging digital and print designs
  • Solid foundation in typography, illustration, iconography, and layout
  • Must be able to deliver collateral built in print and digitally compatible
  • Organized with extreme attention to detail
  • Experience or knowledge in all areas of potential media opportunities
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team.
  • Ability to work with employees at all levels throughout the Companies.
  • Ability to follow policies and procedures and maintain client confidentiality
  • Ability to communicate in a clear, professional and service oriented manner.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with client, editorial staff, manager and/or other project participants to understand project assignment, audience, and intended message
  • Assist as a print production coordinator and become proficient in all aspects of printing final products
  • Conduct market research
  • Creates original visual media that communicates the desired feeling or message in an engaging and unified way
  • Chooses graphics, clip art, and stock photography, as appropriate for client needs within brand guidelines
  • Work collaboratively and take direction from Senior Graphic Designers
  • Prepares drafts of design work and provides samples to editorial or other appropriate staff or departments for review
  • Revises projects as necessary based on collaborative feedback process
  • Adhere to project deadlines
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
