About The Position

Habitat for Humanity of the Charlotte Region is seeking a talented Graphic Designer to join our Marketing & Communications team. This creative professional will help shape compelling visual experiences for diverse audiences—including homebuyers, donors, volunteers, corporate and faith partners, and ReStore shoppers. In this role, you will produce high-impact visual content across print, digital, and environmental platforms while maintaining brand consistency and elevating the organization’s visual identity. You will also lead our branded merchandise program, collaborating with vendors, managing product design, and ensuring offerings are high-quality, cost-effective, and on-brand.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in graphic design required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional design experience; strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong creative instincts with a refined eye for layout, color, typography, and photography.
  • Experience with Content Management Systems (WordPress).

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with HTML5, XHTML, CSS3, JavaScript, PHP, and FTP software is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Design and produce creative assets including large-format graphics, print and digital collateral, event materials, signage, email graphics, and website visuals.
  • Lead the design, development, and management of Habitat’s branded merchandise program, including apparel and promotional items.
  • Coordinate with vendors to ensure quality production, competitive pricing, and timely delivery of merchandise and printed materials.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Marketing & Communications Manager to plan and execute design projects, establish timelines, and support multi-channel rollouts.
  • Provide creative direction and feedback on internal and external design work to ensure brand alignment and visual consistency.
  • Support print production and signage execution in partnership with third-party vendors.
  • Stay current with design trends, tools, and best practices, advocating for user-centered design principles.
  • Continuously evaluate and refine visual strategies to enhance engagement across all platforms.
