We’re looking for a Graphic Designer to join our growing business that has served the Orlando market since 2006. You will be responsible for helping to translate our customers’ ideas, requirements, and dreams for artwork into reality. You must have an eye for quality and details, a desire for productivity, excellent organizational skills, and enough creativity to meet our customers’ demands. Experience with current graphic design software programs is a must, and since you will be working with customers, good interpersonal and communication skills are important, too.

  • Perform efficient, full-service creation of original digital files and hard copies according to AlphaGraphics® productivity standards
  • Convert and repair customer-supplied materials to print-ready files
  • Produce jobs in the order and by the deadlines determined by the Production Manager
  • Check the center’s general e-mail account daily or as needed
  • Track time per job to ensure design jobs are invoiced accordingly
  • Answer technical and design-related questions asked by other team members
  • Keep organized files; archive completed work
  • Maintain a work-in-progress (WIP) folder on the file server, and perform daily and weekly back-ups of WIP folder
  • Adhere to legal requirements relating to intellectual property, duplication, printing, software, and fonts
  • Follow safety/environmental rules and regulations
  • Clean and maintain Design Services area and equipment
  • Troubleshoot equipment problems with and without the help of Support Services
  • Consult with customers; schedule customer consultations on complicated design orders when requested
  • Create in-house artwork as assigned by Manager
  • Assist in the training of co-workers and customers regarding digital file acceptance and other software or technical issues
  • Help train Customer Service Representative(s) on simple file output
  • Keep abreast of new software/hardware/updates through the use of manuals, tutorials, regional training resources, and online sources
  • Up-sell other AlphaGraphics products and services when there is an opportunity
  • Maintain customer eCommerce sites, center’s website, and social media pages
  • Assist with digital press and finishing departments, as needed
  • College/university degree preferred; 2 or 4-year trade school acceptable
  • Minimum of 2+ years experience in design-for-print preferred; both Mac and PC networked environments
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, including, but not limited to InDesign, Illustrator, PhotoShop, in addition to Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Publisher, and WordPress
  • Demonstrate a competence with digital marketing, web design, AI tools, and social media
  • Experience with large-format, signs, and digital prepress preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including grammar, spelling, and punctuation
  • Ability to work in a high-production, design-for-print environment; ability to concentrate amid distractions
  • Ability and willingness to learn new software and hardware technologies
  • Able to combine creativity with practical production mentality and deadline awareness
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Good customer relations skills
  • Motion graphic design and video production skills would be a plus
