About The Position

The Graphic Designer at Valley Forge Fabrics is responsible for creating and managing visual content across print and digital platforms. This role requires a blend of technical skills and creative vision, focusing on branding, design, and photography. The designer will work closely with the Senior Creative & Marketing Manager to execute projects from concept to completion, ensuring high-quality deliverables while adhering to tight deadlines.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar Graphic Design position.
  • Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud programs (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat) with an emphasis on graphic design fundamentals such as layout, typography, and branding.
  • Experience in photography and retouching with an understanding of lighting, composition, and styling.
  • Proficiency in file preparation for print and digital assets; familiarity with both MAC and PC platforms.
  • Proven ability to self-start, manage time effectively, and juggle multiple projects.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments while independently managing your own workload.
  • A passion for design with the ability to think critically and creatively to solve problems while meeting brand guidelines.
  • Openness to constructive feedback with the ability to apply it effectively to strengthen design outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Manage prepress work for digital and print projects, including formatting, organizing, proofing, and uploading files.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve artwork/production issues during all stages of the production process.
  • Collaborate with Senior Management to create branded collateral, including corporate forms, flyers, catalogs, and sale materials.
  • Apply an understanding of branding principles to all projects to ensure consistency across deliverables.
  • Provide photography support, including styling, lighting, and composition for product and social media shoots.
  • Retouch and manipulate images to meet brand standards for both web and print use.
  • Ensure quality control on all creative assets to maintain a polished, professional aesthetic.
  • Develop layouts and mock-ups, ensuring excellent design execution and adherence to design principles such as typography, kerning, and hierarchy.
  • Stay organized by maintaining spreadsheets, inventories, and naming conventions for graphic assets.
  • Maintain flexibility while upholding brand standards to ensure creativity aligns with business objectives.
  • Meet deadlines consistently while managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Apply and integrate feedback to improve creative output while maintaining a positive, solution-oriented approach.
