Specific Responsibilities Would Include The Graphic Designer (Production Art) supports the Design Operations team in the creation of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) packages and pre-production design work under the guidance of the Sr. Product Development Manager.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Adobe Suite and Flex PLM
  • Working knowledge of Browzwear 3D Software and Lotta
  • Detailed knowledge of screen-printing process and techniques as it applies to fabrications.
  • Knowledge of printing limitations based on fabrication
  • Working knowledge of the Pantone mixing system and how it relates to color matching.
  • Comprehensive understanding of pattern nesting and production markers as it relates to graphic art
  • Superior organizational and communication skills, team and detailed oriented
  • Ability to work in a fast pace, high performance environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and accountability
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design or related field
  • 5+ years of relevant design experience

Responsibilities

  • Attend style review meetings with Design and cross functional teams to understand, review and discuss vision/concept prior to initiating the PLM tech pack process
  • Work closely with the Senior Final Artists and creative teams to achieve the designer’s expectations for each artwork
  • Work closely with Senior Design Ops team members to ensure production artwork meets all criteria before sharing with vendors
  • Work with the Technical Design team to create nested patterns for art placement and scale approval
  • Collaborate with Senior Final Artists by using both 2D/3D images to finalize art scale and placement for production ready PLM technical packages
  • Collaborate with project partners to ensure bill of material and art details are aligned for the production tech packs
  • Participate in in creating brand specific art sheets by providing color pitch and separation, technique call outs, art size based on sizing requirement and placements
  • Convert fabric print motif designs into repeat patterns for rotary and flatbed printing based on cylinder sizes and fabric widths
  • Prepare technical layout and color pitch sheets for woven and knit fabrications based on construction and yarn count to be used for PLM Technical packages
  • Provide technical callouts on art embellishments including embroideries, graphic screen prints, appliques and fabric prints
  • Provide organizational support to the Design Operations team by maintaining digital and physical reference materials
  • Create and maintain brand specific art size and placement manuals using 2D and 3D images
  • Modify and update PLM information as needed through-out the development and production process
