About The Position

Designs, develops, and manages packaging, promotional materials, and other graphic design projects that effectively represent the organization and the Melnor brand. Ensures all designs meet commercial offset printing standards and align with brand identity guidelines. Supports sales team with presentation and trade show marketing needs.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of professional graphic design experience, with package design and commercial printing expertise.
  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign).
  • Strong knowledge of preparing files for commercial offset printing, including prepress workflows.
  • Proficiency in creating production-ready packaging files and ensuring color accuracy.
  • Creative problem-solving and ability to develop innovative solutions for packaged goods in retail sales.
  • Knowledge of graphic standards and brand identity development across multiple media.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under tight deadlines.

  • Experience with web and motion graphics a plus

Responsibilities

  • Package Design: develop innovative and functional packaging solutions that meet brand guidelines and printing requirements.
  • File Preparation: Create production-ready files for commercial offset printing and coordinate with vendors to ensure high-quality output.
  • Brand Identity: Document, maintain, and implement graphic standards across all media for the organization.
  • Print Collateral: Design and produce catalogs, brochures, and other marketing materials that align with brand goals.
  • Point of Purchase (POP) Materials: Create engaging POP materials to enhance retail sell-through rates.
  • Trade Shows: Manage creative needs for regional and national trade shows, including booth design and supporting graphics.
  • Advertising: Research and develop effective trade and consumer advertising campaigns.
  • Web & Motion Graphics: Provide imagery, short-form video cuts, and motion graphics to support the digital marketing team.
  • Asset Management: Maintain organized image and design asset libraries.
  • Collaboration: Work with outside agencies and printers to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
