About The Position
Graphic Designer I at Populous is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and creative individual to join a dynamic and collaborative design environment. Populous is renowned for designing and delivering some of the world's most memorable civic, sports, and entertainment buildings, including iconic stadiums and groundbreaking live music venues. As a global specialized design firm with local roots in 11 cities across the Americas, Populous combines the resources and impact of larger design firms with the close-knit atmosphere and growth opportunities of smaller firms. In this role, you will be responsible for creating impactful graphics for high-profile national and international client brands across various markets, including corporate, entertainment, hospitality, collegiate, and sports. You will work closely with clients to discover opportunities to amplify the character of a place, conveying the brand's identity in imaginative and compelling ways within venues and facilities. Your work will involve conceptualizing and designing both 2D environmental graphics and dimensional exhibits, displays, and interior features. You will also manage construction documents and large bodies of information for projects from concept through fabrication and installation, ensuring that the visual style for each project is cohesive and guides the graphic development of individual elements. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional design, organizational, and technical abilities, with a strong focus on branding and experiential graphic design. You will need to demonstrate the ability to push innovation, solve problems creatively, and engage in a dynamic collaborative design environment. Strong communication and presentation skills are essential, as is a high level of proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat) and MS Office. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who learns quickly and adapts to new responsibilities, understands how to read architectural plans, and has proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously while staying on schedule.
