About The Position

Creates graphic materials to support and promote a positive public image of the Cherokee Nation. Materials may take on a variety of forms, including advertisements, annual reports, web graphics, infographics, magazines and more.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from 4-year college or university in Graphic Design, Journalism, Advertising, Public Relations or a related field; or six years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • No additional experience required.
  • Portfolio required.
  • An individual should have knowledge of Graphic Design software, including Adobe Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) as well as be proficient with Apple products and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating.
  • The employee must not be and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG's Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA's List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG's List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE).
  • Ability to prepare files for printing of written materials, t-shirts, promotional items, posters, etc. by outside vendors.
  • Must have knowledge and experience in marketing and advertising design and publication-ready production.
  • Must be able to manage multiple projects without any direct supervisory responsibilities.

Nice To Haves

  • An additional six (6) months experience or previous internship preferred.
