About the Team Enterprise Services and Public Affairs seeks to enhance and protect the reputation of Citi, its businesses and the brand through direct and indirect communication with Citi's various stakeholders, including our colleagues. The Global Communications team is a nimble group in Enterprise Services and Public Affairs that covers a broad scope of responsibilities, ranging from executive communications and public engagements to quarterly earnings and corporate reputation programs as well as communications that support our lines of business. The nature of the work provides a dynamic environment where members of the team serve as company spokespeople to media, drive engagement with colleagues and develop external and internal digital communications for a global workforce of more than 200,000 colleagues. Within Citi, the team works with many internal partners, including senior leadership, and regularly coordinates closely with other members of the Enterprise Services and Public Affairs team across the world. Vice President, Graphic Designer, Creative and Media Services (C13) Job Summary The Creative and Media Services team in Citi’s Global Communications group is seeking a versatile Graphic Designer to join our team. In this role, you will design and develop digital creative in support of the team’s objectives. In addition to a keen eye for detail and a passion for design trends, the ideal candidate possesses excellent time management, client services and communications skills, both verbal and written, with a strong understanding of layout, typography and composition. Creative assignments will range across platforms (static and motion) supporting the firm’s corporate and business communications and major events. Candidates must be highly motivated and flexible with the ability to take initiative and collaborate cross-functionally.

Requirements

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Multimedia and/or Graphic Design, Communications, Marketing or related field required.
  • A strong portfolio of work showcasing technical skills and creative edge across a range of digital channels.
  • Minimum 5+ yrs experience in graphic design, multimedia production or related field with increased responsibility, preferably with a large and complex organization
  • Must be proficient in various multimedia and design technologies across the Adobe Creative Suite
  • Strong visual and typographic sensibility and presentation design skills
  • Proven experience designing unique and innovative work within the context of a brand
  • Strong communications (written, verbal and interpersonal) skills, including tact, diplomacy, and ability to influence senior executives.
  • Integrity, maturity, dependability, a positive professional attitude.
  • A team player who will implement initiatives effectively and motivate others to carry out their work.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Experience or demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-based environment within a heavily matrixed organization.

Responsibilities

  • Create outstanding visual designs that address business, function, brand and user requirements
  • Collaborate with outside agencies, web designers, marketing and internal resources to build and execute global campaigns.
  • Produce drafts for client review and make revisions based on feedback received
  • Prioritize and manage multiple projects within design specifications and budget restrictions
  • Perform retouching and manipulation of imagery
  • Support video production with concept development and graphics packages and work with the production team to capture the vision and help bring it to life.
  • Contribute creative solutions, new methods and advise on recommended technology upgrades.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
