About The Position
As a Graphic Designer at Ross Video, you will play a key role in creating visually stunning content to engage our clients and enhance their broadcast & stadium productions. Leveraging your expertise in 3D animation and motion graphics, you will collaborate with our talented team to produce captivating visual elements that elevate the quality of our clients' productions. This is an 8-month, fixed-term contract position.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Animation, Motion Graphics, Visual Effects, or a related field.
- 2+ years of professional experience in 3D animation and motion graphics, preferably in the broadcast or media industry.
- Proficiency in industry-standard software tools such as Adobe After Effects, Cinema 4D, and others.
- Strong portfolio showcasing your creative skills, including examples of 3D animation, motion graphics, and visual effects work.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate ideas clearly to clients and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Willing to travel on a project-by-project basis up to 50% of the time
- Valid Passport and Valid Driver’s License
- Occasional requirement to set-up equipment – involves lifting up to 50 lbs, reaching, bending, stooping, etc.
Nice To Haves
- Preferred experience in sports productions
- Preferred experience using Maxon One components such as Cinema 4D, Red Shift, & Red Giant products.
- Experience with Ross XPression is a plus
Responsibilities
- Conceptualize, design, and animate 3D graphics and motion graphics for broadcast & stadium productions, including player, team and marketing moments of exclusivity, augmented reality elements, lower thirds, and other data visualization assets.
- Work closely with the creative team, producers, and clients to understand project requirements and deliver high-quality visual content that aligns with client objectives.
- Utilize industry-leading software tools such as Adobe After Effects, Cinema 4D, and others to create dynamic and engaging animations.
- Combine these tools with Ross XPression templated designs and animations based on the standardized workflow outlined by the Director, Creative Services.
- Maintain a keen eye for detail and ensure all graphics and animations meet the highest standards of quality and technical precision.
- Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in 3D animation and motion graphics, bringing fresh ideas and innovative approaches to projects.
