About The Position

The Graphic Design Manager for Kids Tee Center of Excellence at Nike is responsible for leading the design and development of graphic elements for kids' tee shirts. This role emphasizes storytelling through design, requiring a blend of creativity, strategic thinking, and mentorship. The manager will oversee a senior designer and collaborate with various teams to ensure the highest quality of product design, from concept to execution.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in graphic design or related field or equivalent combination of education, experience, or training.
• 8+ years of experience in graphic design, preferably in product creation for footwear and apparel.
• Master visual and verbal communication skills to present design intent effectively.
• Strong Adobe Creative Suite skills, particularly in Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Ability to translate consumer insights into product solutions and narratives.
• Strong sketching, illustration, and rendering skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with 3D design programs and ability to concept/design in 3D spaces.
• Knowledge of repeat pattern creation and printing techniques specific to textiles.
• Understanding of garment and footwear construction.

Responsibilities

• Lead the conceptualization, design, and development of kids tee shirt graphics and branding elements.
• Manage a direct report and mentor a Senior Designer within the design team.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Apparel Design, Footwear Design, and Product Management.
• Translate product vision into reality across all kids tees, ensuring alignment with Nike's creative direction.
• Provide prototype sampling and tech pack information, including fabrication, color, and graphic applications.
• Scrutinize and iterate prototypes to ensure the best expression of design intent.
