As a Graphic Design Intern, you will hold a pivotal role in executing our brand through visual communication and compelling design. Positioned within the Creative Team and reporting to the Creative Traffic Manager, this role involves aiding in responding to sales and marketing requests by using pre-existing content to execute captivating designs for diverse mediums encompassing print (brochures, posters, etc.), digital (static online ads), and events (signage). These designs will adhere to brand guidelines and effectively convey our intended message. The scope of design work will encompass modifying existing approved visuals and templates, resizing existing assets, and uploading assets to our digital tools such as Bynder and Canva. This role's responsibilities extend across all facets of Sierra Nevada Brewing Co, supporting various departments including Marketing, Sales, Brewing, Procurement, and Customer Experience.

  • Produce engaging marketing materials including banners, posters, brochures, and digital assets for online and offline marketing campaigns.
  • Support the marketing team in developing visual content for advertisements and promotional events.
  • Maintain an organized file structure and asset library to ensure easy access to design resources, versions, and project files for future reference or revisions.
  • Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, managing timelines and resources effectively.
  • Ensure the final output meets quality standards, accurately reflects the creative vision, and is ready for deployment or publication.
  • Provide the final approval for creative assets before release and production with input from stakeholders.
  • Must be a CSU or Butte Community College student majoring in Graphic Design, Marketing, or Visual Communication.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.).
  • A keen eye for aesthetics, color theory, typography, and layout.
  • Ability to analyze problems and devise creative design solutions within constraints.
  • Meticulous attention to detail to ensure designs are flawless and meet required standards.
  • Openness to feedback and willingness to adapt designs based on client or team input.
  • Effective time management and organization skills to meet deadlines.
  • Good communication skills for understanding client requirements and collaborating effectively.
  • Knowledge of design fundamentals such as balance, contrast, alignment, proximity, and hierarchy.
  • Client-focused approach to align designs with client goals and audience preferences.
  • Genuine passion for design and willingness to continuously learn and grow.
  • $16.50 hourly compensation.
