About The Position

The Graphic Design Intern supports the Blue Heron creative team in bringing our brand to life across digital and print touchpoints. This role is ideal for a motivated design student or emerging creative who is eager to gain hands-on experience within a high-design, fast-paced environment. Under the mentorship of the Marketing team, the intern will assist in executing creative projects, preparing production-ready files, and contributing fresh ideas while developing their craft within an established luxury brand system. This internship offers meaningful exposure to architectural storytelling, experiential marketing, and high-end brand execution.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing (or recently completed) a Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Graphic Design, Visual Design, Art Direction, or a related field
  • Portfolio demonstrating strong foundational design skills
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
  • Familiarity with PowerPoint and basic presentation layout skills
  • Understanding of typography, composition, color theory, and layout principles
  • Strong attention to detail and visual aesthetics
  • Eagerness to learn and grow within a luxury brand environment
  • Organized and able to manage multiple assignments with guidance
  • Positive, proactive attitude
  • Comfortable collaborating within a team setting
  • Passion for design, architecture, branding, and visual storytelling

Nice To Haves

  • Academic or internship experience working in both digital and print formats preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and layout of digital and physical assets including social media graphics, email marketing, website updates, print collateral, and presentations
  • Support the creation of illustrations, logos, and visual elements using Adobe Creative Suite
  • Help prepare and organize files for print vendors and digital deployment
  • Maintain consistency with Blue Heron brand standards across all work
  • Contribute ideas during creative brainstorming sessions
  • Research design trends, tools, and inspiration relevant to ongoing projects
  • Explore creative concepts under the direction and feedback of senior designers
  • Apply thoughtful experimentation within established brand guidelines
  • Assist in the development of sales enablement materials
  • Support the creation of internal presentations and branded templates
  • Help organize visual assets and maintain design libraries
  • Work collaboratively with Graphic Designers and the marketing team
  • Receive and apply feedback constructively to improve skills and output
  • Support time-sensitive initiatives as needed
  • Develop an understanding of workflow, project management, and creative processes within a professional environment
