About The Position
The Graphic Design Coordinator at Missouri Western State University is an imaginative leader who thrives in a collaborative team environment and is responsible for delivering creative work from initial concepts to finished designs. This role is essential in executing the university's marketing strategy and defending its brand. The ideal candidate will be a collaborator who can handle a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously. The Graphic Design Coordinator will have the opportunity to make a lasting impact within the Marketing and Communications team, which is known for its hard work and fun atmosphere. In this position, the Graphic Design Coordinator will create a wide variety of marketing materials aimed at building and expanding the university's brand while effectively communicating key messages to both on- and off-campus constituencies. The role requires a keen eye for clean design and a solid understanding of design techniques, tools, and principles. The coordinator will be responsible for designing high-quality print and digital collateral, ensuring that all materials meet the university's high-quality standards. Additionally, the coordinator will monitor and advise on brand usage, both internally and externally, and will create and maintain brand guidelines while providing advice on best practices. The Graphic Design Coordinator will also process and advise on print jobs to off-campus vendors, ensuring that files are suitable for high-quality printing and writing specifications as needed. This includes overseeing the production of printed materials, checking proofs, and maintaining organized digital archives of all print job files and photo/graphic files, ensuring that backups are created. Collaboration with key stakeholders to execute marketing and communications strategies is a critical aspect of this role, along with performing other related duties as assigned.
