About The Position

The Graphic Design Assistant at The Matador will support the Marketing Coordinator and Home Office team by creating compelling visual content that communicates the brand effectively across various platforms. This part-time role requires a strong understanding of visual design principles and proficiency in design tools, with a focus on collaboration and multitasking in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in graphic design or comparable professional experience.
• 1 year experience in a graphic design role or equivalent school program.
• Experience with graphic design required and website management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and design engaging graphics for digital and print media, including logos, marketing materials, ads, and social media content.
• Execute design projects as requested by the President and Founder.
• Organize and format the quarterly company newsletter.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to create visually appealing campaigns that align with market trends and The Matador brand.
• Utilize software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Canva to produce high-quality designs.
• Execute art direction for projects, ensuring consistency in visual identity across all platforms.
• Perform photo manipulation to enhance images for various uses.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve design quality.
• Provide project status updates to the Marketing Coordinator and appropriate leadership.
• Organize and update asset bank of marketing and design materials.
• Work collaboratively with the marketing coordinator to develop social media content to achieve targeted customer engagement when needed.
• Assist in website updates.
• Assist Marketing Coordinator, Administrative Assistant, and HR Manager with various projects as needed.
