About The Position

The Graphic Artist - Packaging Designer position involves coordinating the production of creative packaging designs. The role requires expertise in graphic design, particularly in packaging and display formats, and a strong understanding of prepress processes. The ideal candidate will contribute to both the design and prepress departments, ensuring that packaging meets marketing specifications and production timelines.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Four years of experience in packaging design required.
• Two years of experience in prepress required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Extensive knowledge of Macintosh computers and software.
• Strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Electronically create graphic designs in package and display formats.
• Design and develop new packaging and displays.
• Research market trends and ideas for packaging.
• Develop creative packaging within budget and marketing specifications.
• Follow through with approved design concepts for final production.
• Critique and evaluate package samples for improvement.
• Provide mock-ups for presentation of new packaging and displays.
• Implement packaging standards.
• Electronically create graphic and structural design.
