SUMMARY The Graphic Art Technician will utilize multiple software applications to provide products including flyers, pamphlets, signs, posters, certificates, and many others that are both visually pleasing and meet the customer's needs. The successful candidate will have a customer service orientation with a strong knowledge of several key aspects of graphic art design and layout. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Provide graphic art products and services as follows: Proposal/Concept Development Programs (one page or multiple pages) Charts (large and small) Flyers, Covers, Brochures, Publications Pamphlets (Trifolds, custom sizes) Stationery (envelopes, letterhead, contact cards, etc.) Signs/Posters (various sizes/shapes/colors) Technical Illustrations (includes print design and photo illustration/correction) CDROM/DVD artwork and vendor usable electronic files Displays/Exhibits (customized to fit customers' needs/applications) Banners/Logo design (both design and manufacture) Nameplates/Name Badges for Events Certificates/Plaques/Awards (local awards-acrylics/wooden plaques/photos) Matting/Framing Scanning and Incorporation of photos and customer images to be used in final products. Design and Lay-out of advertisements etc. for use in a variety of publications/jobs that may be used for final production by outside vendors. The ability to work closely with DAPS to meet requirements on jobs that need to be sent to DAPS for final production for customers. The Illustrator will work closely with various customers to ensure that the final products and services are satisfactory. This may include and is not limited to meeting with customers to discuss projects, provide solutions based on sound graphic/visual techniques and customer requirements.
