About The Position

Are you detail-oriented and passionate about precision in manufacturing? MeriCal is seeking a dedicated Granulation Operator to join our innovative team. As a Granulation Operator, you will be crucial in ensuring our products meet the highest quality standards by operating and maintaining our granulation equipment. MeriCal is a leading private-label and contract manufacturer of dietary supplements in the United States. With over 90 years of cumulative experience, our dedicated industry experts drive innovation in delivering product solutions tailored for today’s markets. MeriCal LLC is committed to providing top-tier dietary supplements prioritizing consumer health and wellness. As a Granulation Operator at MeriCal, you will: Operate machinery necessary for agglomeration and particle sizing of formulated raw materials as per each batch record manufacturing instructions. Manage process controls (inlet and outlet temperatures, air flow, dust collection magnehelic, solution preparation, spray rates, spray nozzle calibration, etc.) for the fluidized bed granulator, accessory bowls, and dump station. Operate Hobart mixer, ribbon blender, twin shell blender, fitzmills, oscillators (speeds and screen sizes), roller compaction (roller adjustments and screen sizes), sieves/sifters, and manual granulation methods using trays, racks, and dryers. Ensure particle sizing detail to comply with manufacturing instructions, contributing to the ability to compress tablets, fill capsules, or provide powder blends according to customer specifications. Verify materials for each batch as per the batch record and sign off with a second person as materials are 'top loaded' into the mixers from the staging area. Perform sanitation, cGMP adherence, SOP compliance, and safe work practices at all times. Coordinate with Quality Control on batch record signoffs and anything that violates cGMPs. Read and follow manufacturing instructions to properly load raw materials (sequentially), close and seal inlet portholes and discharge valves, operate fluid bed and mixers for blending raw materials, and unload/discharge final product blends into sanitary containers. Weigh final blends using floor scales to calculate outgoing yield versus incoming theoretical yield. Use metal detection equipment and milling/particle sizing equipment, including sieves/sifters, as necessary.
