The Grant Specialist partners with faculty, staff, and administrative colleagues to support external grantseeking efforts primarily within the areas of faculty research and academic projects, as well as other strategic efforts on behalf of the University. In this role, the Grant Specialist works with and reports to the Associate VP of Research within the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs (ORSP). Pre-award duties include contributing to the consideration and coordination of annual grants strategy and making program inquiries. This individual also collaborates with faculty, staff, and administrators and supports the development and submission of external funding proposals according to University- and agency-specific policies and procedures. Post-award duties include providing support to PIs and other stakeholders with respect to reporting, invoicing, and other budgetary activities. Overall, this individual serves a key support role in helping plan, execute and manage major University grant initiatives.
