About The Position
This position is a term-limited role with an anticipated work assignment of 5 years. The individual hired into this role will be expected to work on assignment with the Federal Transit Administration in a role similar to the FTA's Grants Management Specialist position for an initial 2-year period. Under direction from Director of Grants and Fares, the Grants Specialist will help implement the Agency's grant and loan program: including maintaining grant revenue forecasts; grant tracking databases; funding models; monitoring, managing and reporting on the Agency's federal and state grants; preparing progress reports, and grant budget revisions amendments, and close-outs; identifies and secures traditional and non-traditional grant funding sources, including grant application development and collaboration with stakeholders and project partners; ensures timely obligations and drawdowns of grant funds; and assists with preparation of federal oversight reviews.
