About The Position

The Grants and Projects Analyst 2 at Nevada State University is responsible for managing grant awards from inception to completion, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. This role involves financial oversight of over 50 awards totaling more than $29 million, assisting in grant proposal development, and conducting compliance training workshops for grant recipients. The analyst will also interpret and compile complex financial data for project reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in public or business administration, accounting, finance, or related field and two years of professional grants experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in finance, accounting, budgets, grants, and/or contracts administration.
  • Knowledge of 2 CFR 200 and generally accepted accounting principles.

Responsibilities

  • Manage post-award duties for all grants, including federal, state, and local government programs.
  • Assist in evaluating and improving grant program effectiveness by reviewing financial data.
  • Facilitate timely submission of financial reports and drawdown of funds for all awards.
  • Resolve unidentified payments/revenue from sponsors promptly.
  • Maintain and monitor compliance of all required reports and deliverables for each grant award.
  • Assist with grant budget modifications and re-budgeting as needed.
  • Maintain grant databases for reconciliation of all awards.
  • Create and provide training workshops for Principal Investigators and other personnel on grant compliance.
  • Provide one-on-one training on Workday as requested.
  • Research and implement long-term training programs to improve grant operations.
  • Support preparation of grant funding applications and review solicitation guidelines.
  • Assist in developing complex multi-year budgets and ensure compliance with budgeting policies.
  • Supervise the Grants Award Services student worker.
