About The Position

The Office of Community Enhancements (OCE) within the Ohio Department of Development is currently hiring for a Grants Program Administrator to lead program oversight, policy creation and implementation, and serve as shareholder contact for the Office of Community Enhancements. This position will assist the Grants and Program Lead with data collection, monitoring tools, connecting with shareholders and stakeholders within the Office of Community Enhancements (OCE).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Public/Business Administration, Public Policy, City and Regional Planning, or related area.
  • Strong computer skills with knowledge of database and reporting.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels including executive level.
  • Must be willing to occasionally travel to project sites, for monitoring, in certain instances.

Nice To Haves

  • Substantial experience in working with building codes (e.g., Residential Rehabilitation Standards, International Property Maintenance Code and the Residential Code of Ohio) is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Lead Based Paint Regulations preferable. Lead license preferable but must be willing to complete lead training within three months of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating the development, administrative management, reporting and grant closeout.
  • Providing financial and administrative advice and support to designated program staff.
  • Oversees project design and implementation and approval.
  • Creating monitoring tools for current and new programs within OCE.
  • Oversees overall grant flow process, documentation procedures, and evaluates project measures to ensure program efficiency.
  • Accurate and timely reporting.
  • Collaborate with program staff to develop grant proposals and budgets.
  • Prepare and submit grant applications, ensuring all requirements are met.
  • Monitor and evaluate grant performance, ensuring alignment with project goals and objectives.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive grant files and records.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all grant-related inquiries.
  • Facilitate communication between grantors, program staff, and other stakeholders.
  • Provide training and support to staff on grant management processes and procedures.
