About The Position
The State of Nebraska is seeking a dedicated and skilled Grants Portfolio Manager to join the Health & Human Services (DHHS) team in Lincoln, NE. This position is crucial for maximizing resources, implementing effective strategies, and ensuring the successful completion of grants that significantly impact the community. As a Grants Portfolio Manager, you will be responsible for managing grant portfolios for subawards and grant agreements, ensuring adherence to best practices in grant management across assigned divisions, and developing comprehensive reports and summaries for leadership. In this role, you will assist division staffing with grant management, providing leadership, advice, training, and support to staff on grants-related issues. You will collaborate with administrators and assigned divisions to develop comprehensive grant portfolios, conduct post-award grant monitoring, and ensure timely and accurate invoice processing. Your responsibilities will also include overseeing fiscal accountability in grant agreements, monitoring program compliance, conducting risk assessments, and implementing auditing procedures. Additionally, you will help develop and deliver training to program managers and division staff regarding post-award grant management, and respond to Single Audits across all subaward recipients. This position is located on-site at the Nebraska State Office Building in Lincoln, and it offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of Nebraskans through effective grant management and community service.
