About The Position

HFHP is seeking a detailed and mission driven Grants Coordinator to support the organization’s focus to expand safe, stable, and affordable housing through grant funder relationships. The position ensures timely submission of applications and reports, maintains accurate grant records, and contributes to overall revenue goals. This Grants Coordinator is responsible for researching prospective funders, preparing grant proposals, providing reports, tracking data and reporting requirements in the CRM, and ensuring high-quality stewardship of foundation, corporate, and public partners. Working closely with program, finance, and resource development staff, the Grants Coordinator supports all grant activities and works cross-functionally to gather impact stories of the organization’s programs while translating it into clear, data-informed narratives for funders.

Requirements

  • Understanding Habitat for Humanity Philadelphia’s vision and desire to advance our mission of affordable housing for all.
  • Minimum of 1-2 year(s) of office work experience in a related professional setting, preferably in fundraising, program management, and/or nonprofit environment.
  • Self-motivated team player, with strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to shifting priorities while still meeting required deadlines.
  • Highly reliable, extremely organized, and detail oriented.
  • Competency with Microsoft Office.
  • Discretion with confidential information.
  • Ability to be stationary for long periods of time at a computer.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience with fundraising software or CRM is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Grants Administration
  • Research various types of grants available and the criteria to qualify for each.
  • Prepare recommendations for grant opportunities.
  • Work closely with the Grants Manager to draft and complete grant applications and reports.
  • Coordinate with other departments to gather program data and information for reporting.
  • Update grants calendar to ensure timely submission of applications and reports.
  • Complete and record acknowledgment letters to grant funders.
  • Systematize and maintain Grants Dashboard in Salesforce.
  • Conduct prospect research to expand grants portfolio.
  • Complete relevant grant forms and documents.
  • Submit quarterly city and state lobbying reports.
  • Submit quarterly statistical reporting to Habitat for Humanity International.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Technology Support
  • Maintain database and master files on grants and paperwork.
  • Manage the entry of grant information into the database and capture/record key grant details as needed.
  • Create regular reports on grant application/reporting deadlines, finances, and prospects.
  • Assist with monthly financial reconciliation process and monitor grants revenue against budget.
