About The Position

Clifford Beers Community Health Partners (CBCHP) is a 501(3)(c) organization and is the parent company for three affiliate nonprofits. These three affiliates include: Youth Continuum, Clifford Beers Community Care Center and Mid Fairfield Community Care Center. Each of the affiliates maintains their original 501(3)(c) designations, have their own Boards of Directors and are led by an Executive Director, which reports to the CEO of CBCHP. CBCHP’s vision is to meet our community’s wellness needs in an equitable, accessible, and coordinated manner. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance required, MBA or Master preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience in accounting roles with similar responsibilities
  • Experience in a non-profit environment is preferred
  • Good knowledge of U.S. GAAP, Federal, and State cost standards
  • Passion aligning with CBCHP’S mission and values
  • Commitment to advancing Health Equity and trauma-informed anti-racist activities, including but not limited to participating in trainings and collaborating in related workgroups

Responsibilities

  • Prepare invoices and financial reports related to portfolio of grants and contracts
  • Update monthly close work-papers for grants receivables and deferred revenues
  • Prepare budget related materials and supporting documents required for submission to funders including continued funding applications, contract renewals, and budget modifications.
  • Review bi-weekly payroll allocation changes and prepare journal entries to reclassify retroactive changes
  • Update the current list of employees and all allocations by grant/project
  • Record and track the revenue and expenses of each funding source and bring major variances to the attention of the program directors
  • Evaluate processes and procedures within accounting and suggest, implement and re-evaluate for continual improvements
  • Assist Finance Department management in transition work of newly acquired companies
  • Preparing grant budgets and budget revisions, as well as grant reporting
  • Provide support and participate in budgeting and auditing processes
  • Work closely with organizational leaders to meet their accounting needs including processes and procedures, reporting, and communications
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervision
