About The Position

The Cornell K. Lisa Yang Center for Wildlife Health (CYCWH) was established in 2020 with a mission to tackle pressing global challenges related to wildlife health, human health, and environmental sustainability. By adopting a One Health approach, the center emphasizes the interconnectedness of human health and the health of the natural world. CYCWH collaborates with global partners to create science-based solutions and to influence policy and action, aiming to deliver tangible results while also training the next generation of conservation leaders. The Grants and Communications Manager will be pivotal in promoting the mission of CYCWH by crafting and executing integrated development and marketing strategies that showcase the center's programs and their impact. This role is essential for enhancing the center's visibility, engagement, and growth. Reporting to the Associate Director of CYCWH, the manager will be a vital member of the Wildlife Health & Health Policy Team within the Department of Population Medicine and Diagnostic Sciences at the College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM). The position requires close collaboration with CYCWH directors, program staff, and various Cornell departments, including the Office of Alumni Affairs & Development (AAD) and the Office of Marketing & Communications (MarCom). Key responsibilities include developing and implementing strategies to enhance CYCWH's visibility, managing grants and constituent relations, overseeing marketing and communications efforts, and providing program administration support. The role demands a proactive approach to research funding opportunities, drafting grant proposals, managing the center's online presence, and engaging with diverse audiences through various communication channels. The successful candidate will also play a crucial role in representing the center at events and collaborating with internal and external partners for cross-promotion.
