About The Position

The Grants Analyst supports financial operations by performing all aspects of accounting financial contract management, analytical, and technical functions. This role involves routine/complex accounting tasks and financial/operational procedures analysis. The Grants Analyst collaborates with internal departments, external agencies, and funding bodies to ensure compliance with all grant requirements and alignment with the PWC's strategic objectives, overseeing the full grant lifecycle, from application to closeout. Key functions include monitoring and maintaining grant activity and compliance, including timely reporting, financial reporting, year-end reporting, audit requests, expenditures, and revenue reconciliation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3-5 years of experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing and submitting grant applications, ensuring all necessary documentation, budgets, financials, and narratives are accurate and complete.
  • Administer awarded grants, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, including reporting and financial tracking.
  • Maintain a system of financial accounting, reporting, and record keeping in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Government Accounting Standards Board (GASB).
  • Responsible for preparing board resolutions, monthly, quarterly, or yearly reporting, budgetary control and revisions, and project closeouts.
  • Monitor grant performance and ensure timely reporting to funding agencies, including progress reports, financial reports, and project updates.
  • Manage relationships with grantors and funding agencies, serving as the primary point of contact for inquiries and audits.
  • Maintain detailed records of grant applications, awards, cash flow, expenditures, and compliance documentation.
  • Report on grant activity, providing updates on funding, cash flow, project progress, and future opportunities.
  • Expense review and approval processes for funding drawdowns from federal, state, and other agencies.
  • Maintain Grant spreadsheet for current and pending federal, state, local, private, and/or other grants.
  • Responsible for recording monthly and yearly accruals for grant draws or invoices.
