The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) is seeking a GRANTS ADMINISTRATOR SPECIALIST-SOE (PRE AND POST AWARD) to serve as a key member of the School of Engineering's research support team. To operate with a high degree of independence, under minimal supervision, this position is responsible for providing pre and post award research administration support in the School of Engineering. Responsible for the proposal submission process for assigned departments and their faculty within the school, in accordance with sponsor guidelines and UAB policies and procedures. To provide post award grants and contracts support to assigned personnel over the life cycle of the grant. To serve as Department Effort Officer (DEO) for assigned department(s). To provide onboarding support and ongoing training to research personnel. Hybrid Eligible (Not Remote).
