About The Position

Position Overview The Polsky Foundation seeks a motivated philanthropy professional to support Ukraine-focused philanthropy through grants administration and external partnerships. This internship runs from February/March through May/June, with the opportunity to transition into a full-time role based on performance and organizational needs. This role will work closely with the Founders of the organization and other members of the family office team.

Requirements

  • Open to undergraduate or graduate students completing their studies in spring 2026.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Ukrainian both written and spoken.
  • Relevant internship or professional experience in philanthropy, international affairs or policy, or related field required.
  • Strong interest in philanthropy, specifically Ukraine-related issues.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively under pressure to achieve individual and organizational goals.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills and work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, exhibits highly professional and tactful demeanor.
  • A consummate team player with a flexible, collaborative and creative approach who can lead from behind.
  • Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Foundation’s Ukraine-based team to coordinate program implementation, prepare and manage budgets, track expenditures, and support administrative and bookkeeping processes related to grant-funded activities.
  • Design grant programs based on desired impact of the Founders.
  • Research and engage with U.S.-based foundations and potential partners.
  • Manage communication with stakeholders and donors.
  • Create annual communications plan for the organization with measurable deliverables.
  • Help develop the Foundation brand, website, and other marketing materials.
  • Manage a CRM database and create efficient reporting templates as needed.
  • Represent the Foundation, as official liaison, and respond to external inquiries.
  • Facilitate e-blast communications, surveys, and invitations to targeted and varied audiences.
  • Coordinate events, meetings, and symposiums.
