Under general supervision, the Grants Accounting Specialist provides technical accounting, budget, and other administrative support for Program Coordinators and Managers under the supervision of the Department Administrative Services Manager. Responsibilities include monitoring, analyzing and maintaining financial transactions for a wide variety of social service programs; tracking revenues and expenditures, and preparing required internal and external financial reports. The role will form part of the Business Unit that consists of team members from Finance and Contracts and will be required to liaise with the Finance team and Contracts team, Department Director, Program Managers and staff, County Auditor's Office, and other County employees. This position is represented by Local 11 - OPEIU (Office and Professional Employees International Union, AFL-CIO).
