About The Position
Grant Writers at Millennium Strategies play a crucial role in assisting municipalities and counties in securing funding from various government and philanthropic sources. As the largest full-service grant consulting firm in the region, Millennium Strategies has a proven track record, having secured over $900 million in grant funding for clients over the past 18 years. The position requires a strong commitment to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, often with varying deadlines. Grant Writers will collaborate closely with public officials, including mayors, administrators, and various department heads, to ensure that proposals are comprehensive and meet all necessary guidelines. The role involves not only writing grant proposals but also coordinating the preparation of these proposals. This includes reviewing funding guidelines, conducting outreach to local government and community stakeholders, and organizing supporting documentation such as resolutions, letters of support, and financial records. The Grant Writer will be responsible for preparing grant narratives that comply with funding requirements and will also track and follow up on pending funding requests. This position is hybrid, requiring two days a week in the Morristown office and three days of remote work, allowing for flexibility while maintaining a strong connection with the team and clients.
