About The Position

The Grant Writer at YWCA El Paso del Norte is responsible for researching, identifying, and writing grants to support the organization's mission. This role involves collaboration with various stakeholders, compliance with funding requirements, and maintaining records related to grant submissions and reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in English, Social Sciences, creative writing, or related field required.
• Two years of grant writing experience or equivalent combination of experience and training.
• Proficient with MS Office Word and Excel, with advanced knowledge of Excel preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple priorities.
• Must be highly organized and flexible, able to work under pressure with interruptions.
• Must have access to a vehicle and possess a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Researches funding opportunities for YWCA programs and services.
• Writes, submits, and tracks grant submissions through the pre-award and renewal phases.
• Develops relationships and collaborates with key stakeholders.
• Maintains proficient knowledge of the organization's history and programs.
• Assists with the execution of the development department's strategy.
• Furnishes prospective funders with supporting documents.
• Collaborates with Administration personnel on written fundraising solicitations.
• Maintains records in hard copies and computer databases.
• Applies knowledge of fundraising methods to achieve divisional grant income goals.
• Collaborates with team members on other fundraising projects and events planning.
