About The Position
Questar III BOCES is excited to announce an opportunity for a full-time Grant Writer within our agency. This role is pivotal as it involves collaborating with various stakeholders to research, review, and prepare grant proposals aimed at securing funding to support our educational initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of how to identify and pursue funding sources specifically tailored for educational projects. Strong interpersonal skills are essential, as the Grant Writer will need to engage effectively with different parties involved in the grant process. In addition to interpersonal skills, exceptional writing and research capabilities are crucial for this position. The Grant Writer will be responsible for crafting compelling proposals that clearly articulate the needs and objectives of our programs. Effective planning and organizational skills are necessary to manage multiple grant opportunities simultaneously, ensuring that deadlines are met and proposals are submitted in a timely manner. Furthermore, a solid understanding of the financial aspects of grant development is required, as the Grant Writer will need to prepare budgets and financial reports as part of the grant application process. Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree and have a minimum of two years of successful grant writing experience. While not mandatory, experience in grant writing within an educational setting is preferred. This position offers a competitive salary range of $89,000 to $119,000, commensurate with experience, along with an excellent benefits package, including enrollment in the NYS pension system.
