About The Position

Responsible for the accurate processing of expenditure transfers for the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) federal grant assigned to the incumbent.  Responsible for ensuring that the expenditure transfer guidelines related to federal awards are met. Responsible for the accuracy of the department’s financial records associated with the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) federal grant assigned to the incumbent.  Responsible for ensuring that all financial transactions contain the associated grant number. This includes researching transactions in FLAIR as necessary. Responsible for the accurate processing of the indirect cost allocation associated with the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) federal grant assigned to the incumbent. Responsible for the accurate and timely filing of federal financial information with the various federal and state reporting sites regarding the National School Lunch Program (NSLP). Responsible for the daily processing of the sponsor payment request for the National School Lunch Program (NSLP). Responsible for the submission of data to the Office of the Governor’s Federal Grant Tracking System. Responsible for the review and posting of the department’s Notice of Federal Financial Assistance (NOFFA) funding opportunities to the department’s website. Responsible for the review of applications received for the NOFFA funding opportunities.  Responsible for ensuring that all applications are complete and include all required documents. Provides information and assistance in the preparation of financial data related to federal funds. Performs other related duties as required or assigned.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college university and one (1) year of professional governmental accounting, fiscal or program monitoring experience.
  • Professional or nonprofessional experience as described above can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required college education.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience which equals four (4) years can substitute for the above requirements.
  • Ability to be self-motivated.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and manage time.
  • Knowledge of office management systems including Microsoft Office Suite programs.
