About The Position

The Grant Manager at North Carolina A&T State University is responsible for overseeing the fiscal operations and management of all grants awarded to the Cooperative Extension Department. This role ensures compliance with University Cost Accounting Standards and Uniform Guidance, while also providing support in grant application processes and managing grant expenditures. The Grant Manager plays a critical role in advising Principal Investigators and Project Directors on grant management and compliance, ensuring that all financial activities align with federal, state, and university policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in university grant project management and account reconciliations.
• Knowledge of University research administration, Cost Accounting Standards, and grant fund budget development.

• Experience with federal, state, and university policies and procedures regarding grants.

Responsibilities

• Manage the fiscal operations of all grants awarded to the Cooperative Extension Department.
• Ensure compliance with University Cost Accounting Standards and Uniform Guidance.
• Assist Principal Investigators and Project Directors in the grant application process, including budget narrative development.
• Collaborate with the Grant Administrator for new award setup and attend startup meetings as needed.
• Review and approve grant-funded purchases, travel, and personnel requests to ensure alignment with approved budgets.
• Monitor and track grant account expenditures to meet allowable cost requirements.
• Provide monthly grant transaction reviews and summary reports to Principal Investigators and Project Directors.
• Advise on the status of grant awards and assist with budget revisions as necessary.
• Conduct timely reconciliations and close-outs of grant accounts.
