The American Heart Association has an exciting opportunity for a Grant Administrator based out of the National Center office, located in Dallas, TX . In this position, you will be responsible for executing and serving as administrator for a portfolio of grant awards that are less than $500,000. You will ensure excellence in preparation, implementation, monitoring, management and reporting for multiple grants within an assigned portfolio. Responsible for collaborating with staff to ensure timely completion of all grant deliverables, monitoring budgets to ensure appropriate and on-schedule grant spending and facilitation of internal and external reports. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Three (3) years of related experience.
  • Working knowledge of financial systems, journal entries and expenses
  • Grant Accounting
  • Budget development and management
  • Project management
  • Reporting and correspondence
  • Grant outcomes and deliverables
  • Compliance surrounding grants and agreements

Nice To Haves

  • 5 years preferred
  • Pre and post award grants management experience

Responsibilities

  • Develops, executes, and completes accurate grant award records through system reports, program/plan status updates, and deliverable outcomes tracking.
  • Facilitates communication of strategy, impact and results in compliance with donor reporting requirements.
  • Prepares and delivers appropriate documentation in collaboration with assigned teams.
  • Leads and initiates grant administration meeting(s) to ensure all parties are informed and will support compliance.
  • Integrates grant requirements into program and monitors processes.
  • Coordinates work with key internal stakeholders within and across staff functions including but not limited to Finance, Quality Outcomes Research & Analytics, Office of Health Research, Development, Advocacy and Communications staff.
  • Ensures that activities function within the parameters of American Heart Association policy.
  • Collaborates with implementation staff to monitor and ensure timely completion of all grant deliverables.
  • Monitors budgets to ensure appropriate and on-schedule grant spending.
  • Responds to direct inquiries from donors and others with the highest level of accuracy, timeliness, and professionalism.
  • Partners with executives and development staff for relationship stewardship and as a consultative resource for development of future grants.
  • Monitors and stewards assigned funded programs, conducting research and providing an appropriate level of reporting, and setting the stage for renewal.
