About The Position

The AIDS Foundation Chicago (AFC) is dedicated to mobilizing communities to create equity and justice for individuals living with and vulnerable to HIV or chronic conditions. We envision a world where those living with HIV or chronic conditions can thrive, and where new HIV cases are eliminated. Our mission focuses on advancing health equity, preventing new HIV cases, serving as a collaboration and knowledge center, advocating for change, and enhancing our organizational excellence. We are currently seeking a Grant Accounting Manager who will play a crucial role in managing grants and accounting duties. This position involves auditing and processing subrecipient reimbursement requests, issuing subrecipient agreements, monitoring expenditures, developing budgets, and creating related reports and spreadsheets. The salary range for this role is between $62,933 and $74,057 annually. The Grant Accounting Manager will be responsible for comprehensive fiscal, regulatory, and administrative management of assigned grants and contracts. This includes preparing grant and subrecipient budgets, completing the budget submission process, preparing monthly vouchers, and monitoring grant expenditures. The manager will maintain records of fund usage, conduct quarterly expenditure reviews, and ensure compliance with laws and regulations. Collaboration with program leads for scheduling site visits, responding to requests from partner agencies, and attending funder meetings are also key responsibilities. The role requires participation in fiscal site visits and the preparation of subrecipient agreements and amendments. Additionally, the manager will lead fiscal monitoring of subrecipients and provide technical assistance as needed. The position also involves assisting the Director of Grants and Contracts with department-related matters and participating in agency-wide activities. The Grant Accounting Manager will be expected to maintain and update job knowledge through training and educational opportunities, while also protecting the organization's value by keeping information confidential.
