About The Position

The Granite Headstone Fabrication Technician at Edgewood Monuments is responsible for crafting beautiful granite headstones in a modern and organized shop environment. The role involves physical labor and the operation of various equipment to ensure the successful fabrication and installation of headstones.

Requirements

• Good physical stamina and strength; ability to lift heavy objects (up to 100 lbs) regularly.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in a physical labor role.
• Must be 100% drug-free and agree to random testing.
• Proficiency in English and basic computer skills.
• Driver's license with a clean driving record.
• High school diploma.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and move headstones in the shop, at cemeteries, and from flatbed trucks using cranes, hoists, forklifts, and dollies.
• Rig heavy loads safely with the appropriate equipment.
• Uncrate and sort headstones while maintaining a clean and organized shop.
• Cut rubber stencils using a stencil cutter CNC machine.
• Apply rubber stencils to blank headstones, pluck stencils, and mask headstones.
• Sandblast headstones using an enclosed and vented CNC sandblaster with a joystick in a clean space.
• Paint headstones using paint guns following the engraving process.
• Deliver and install headstones in local cemeteries.
• Operate extended reach forklifts to install large monuments.
• Laser etch monuments using CNC technology.
