The position involves handling incoming and outgoing grain, which includes unloading and loading trucks, weighing, sampling, and testing grain for quality purposes. The role also requires assisting in the general maintenance and housekeeping of grain facilities and yards to ensure cleanliness and safety. The employee will load train shuttle cars, transport grain off farms, and complete local grain deliveries as requested by the supervisor. Observing OSHA, State, and Federal safety regulations is crucial, as is monitoring and maintaining the quality of grain inventory. General maintenance of grain handling equipment is also part of the job, along with providing excellent customer service and assisting patrons. The employee may assist other departments and cooperative locations as needed, and additional duties may be assigned by management.
