About The Position

This position is responsible for performing tasks assigned by supervisor that are associated with the day to day operations of a grain elevator under supervision. Must complete the entry level requirements prior to being a Class 1 operator. The following information describes the physical activities that are performed during the normal work day by the team members performing this job classification. The percentage of the normal work day that the physical activity is conducted will be identified as follows: Rarely 1-5% of the time in an eight (8) hour work day Occasionally 6-33% of the time in an eight (8) hour work day Frequently 34-66% of the time in an eight (8) hour work day Continuously 67-100% of the time in an eight (8) hour work day Vision (continuously) needed to perform job duties safely. Balance (continuously) good balance needed to walk safely. Stand (continuously) stand while waiting for trucks to enter and exit dump pits while unloading. Forward bend (continuously) required to forward bend to open trailer doors and lift rail car lids. Walk (frequently) walk a few steps at a time while unloading trucks. Walking (frequently) Required to walk to and from break area and to work stations as well as beside company railroad tracks. Push (frequently) push with a force up to 25# to sweep grain. Reach (frequently) reach down to lift railcar lids. Grip (frequently) grip with a force up to 25# to hold and operate brooms and scoops. Computer (frequently) use a computer to load/unload trucks and when loading rail cars. Reach (occasionally) reach up to open dump trailer latches.
