West Plains LLC is a part of BioUrja Group, and we are an agricultural commodity trading business specializing in warehouse operation, risk management, and transportation with a focus on creating value for the company’s producers and consumers. Our customers depend on us to provide market insight, risk management, and logistics support. We are federally licensed and bonded warehousemen that trade whole grains, feed ingredients, freight, and other commodities within North America. We are headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska and have ten locations spread across three states. The company controls nearly 15 million bushels of elevator space through ownership or lease agreements. We are looking for a Grain and Feed Scheduler based out of our Loveland CO office. The Grain and Feed Scheduler is responsible for coordinating the movement and delivery of grain and feed products efficiently and cost-effectively. This role ensures seamless communication between suppliers, customers, carriers, and internal teams to optimize logistics and scheduling operations.

  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate the transportation of grain and feed products based on customer needs and contract terms.
  • Monitor inventory levels and work with procurement teams to ensure adequate supply.
  • Communicate with suppliers, buyers, and transportation providers to track shipments and resolve logistical challenges.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including shipping schedules, contracts, and delivery confirmations.
  • Collaborate with sales and operations teams to optimize supply chain efficiency.
  • Analyze transportation costs and identify opportunities for cost savings.
  • Address any scheduling conflicts or disruptions to minimize impact on customers and operations.
  • Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure all paperwork and information is accurate.
  • Review all freight invoices for accuracy.
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Agriculture, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Previous experience in grain merchandising, feed scheduling, logistics, or supply chain management preferred.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Proficiency in scheduling software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of grain and feed industry regulations and transportation logistics.
  • Range: $24.00 - $26.00 Hourly dependent on experience
