Graduate Assistants are assigned to designated faculty members, and their duties will be determined by the instructional and research needs of those faculty. Graduate students designated to work with a specific faculty member are eligible to receive the Graduate Teaching Assistant (GTA) award. Graduate Teaching Assistant (GTA) responsibilities will vary depending on the assigned project and will align with the student's area of study. GTAs may serve as lab assistants, graders, facilitators of creative or research activities, or in other roles that support faculty in the department's instructional mission. Appointments may be made within any division of the University's professional staff. GTAs are expected to work up to 20 hours per week on a flexible schedule.
