About The Position

Looking to launch or grow your sales career with a fast-growing consulting firm? CompassX is building our first-ever sales team - and we’re looking for a driven Graduate Sales Development Representative (SDR) to generate new opportunities with some of the biggest brands in Southern California. We expect that you will have recently graduated and be passionate about building your career. Having some sales experience may give you a head start, but most importantly, you must be passionate about kickstarting your sales career. At CompassX, what we sell is expertise. Our consultants are problem-solvers-for-hire, embedded with clients to deliver results on their most critical projects. As our Graduate SDR, you’ll be the first point of contact with executives who are deciding how to solve their toughest challenges. Your job is to open doors, build relationships, and set up meaningful conversations that lead to consulting projects. This is a high-energy role where you’ll prospect, reach out, and qualify leads - but unlike most Graduate SDR jobs, you won’t just be following a script. You could be essential to how we build out our sales function from the ground up and be recognized for the results you deliver. Requirements

  • 0–3 years of experience in sales, business development, or lead generation (consulting, professional services, or B2B sales a plus).
  • Ability to maintain high activity levels and generate qualified meetings.
  • Strong communication skills and a client-first mindset.
  • Resilience, grit, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Highly organized and self-motivated, able to manage time independently.
  • A collaborative spirit and desire to contribute to a team-oriented, entrepreneurial culture.
  • Willingness to visit clients in person throughout Los Angeles, Orange County, and San Diego.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Drive new client engagement through outreach (calls, emails, LinkedIn) and networking (industry events, in-person meetings).
  • Maintain a high volume of daily outbound activity that meets or exceeds targets.
  • Schedule introductory and discovery meetings for the leadership and sales team.
  • Conduct initial qualification calls to uncover client needs and potential project opportunities.
  • Develop knowledge of CompassX services and communicate our value proposition clearly and confidently.
  • Log prospecting activities, notes, and follow-ups in the CRM system.
  • Collaborate with leadership to prioritize target accounts and refine outreach strategies.
