About The Position

Bronson Healthcare is seeking a Graduate Respiratory Therapist for multiple openings in the ACC/PICU and Children's departments. This full-time position requires working night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM, totaling 72 hours per pay period. The role involves performing routine respiratory care procedures under the supervision of a licensed therapist in various critical care units and the emergency department. The position offers a sign-on bonus of up to $25,000.

Requirements

• Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program.
• Experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• Successful completion of Therapist Multiple-Choice Examination (TMC) within 90 days from graduation.
• Must acquire Licensure from the State of Michigan.
• Current BLS certification.
• Satisfactory performance on the respiratory care medication competency test.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine respiratory care procedures according to established standards.
• Direct and oversee the activities of associates assigned to work with them.
• Assess patients' respiratory status using basic assessment skills.
• Perform basic respiratory care procedures including oxygen delivery and medication administration.
• Assemble, check, and correct malfunctions associated with respiratory care equipment.
• Communicate effectively with other healthcare team members regarding patient care.
• Participate in department performance improvement activities.
• Assume responsibility for professional development.
