Graduate Resident Nurse, 6 East, Medical Surgical Cardiothoracic Surgery, 36 hours, Day/Night Rotation
About The Position
When you join the growing BILH team, you're not just taking a job, you’re making a difference in people’s lives. 6 East is a 22 Telemetry Bed, medical-surgical unit specializing in the Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery patient populations. With a vision of healing hearts without skipping a beat, our team provides exceptional care to patients with a variety of cardiac, pulmonary, and vascular conditions. This population of patients includes pre and post CABG, Heart Valve surgery, Septal Myectomy, Aneurysm Repair, Thoracotomy, Femoral-Popliteal bypass and other acute cardiothoracic and vascular conditions. Our team includes a great group of Healthcare professionals committed to the delivery of safe, high-quality care to our patients.
Requirements
- Graduate of a state approved and/or accredited School of Nursing.
- Current license to practice professional nursing from the Massachusetts Board of Registration; graduating nursing students must provide NCLEX registration documentation when eligible.
- American Heart Association - Basic Life Support Certificate
- 0-1 years related work experience required.
- Basic familiarity with computers. Ability to navigate at a basic level within web-based applications.
- Demonstrates the necessary clinical skills and technical knowledge to provide care for patients according to Nursing Policy and Procedures.
- Demonstrates the necessary clinical skills and knowledge to provide care for patients according to the unit-specific competencies.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
